There are stereotypes in our minds. Although it is difficult to notice them, these stereotypes have a great influence on the way of our thinking.

Taking women as an example, when hearing the word of women, most people would come up with the image of a weak gender, either physically or mentally. For thousands of years, people have formed the concept that women are actually weaker compared with men. Most male adults have strong muscles while women commonly do not. Concluding from history, we also know that it is men that mainly deciding how our society develops. However, there are actually many women who are much more excellent than men. Despite the fact most men and women have the same intelligence quotient, we still think men are smarter.

Besides women, there are many other things could cause stereotypes. For example, if you know someone who has lead a poor life for most of his time. Suddenly one day, you see him drive an expensive sports car, wear a luxury ballon bleu rose gold and fine clothes. The first thing pump into your mind is that he must have stolen them. Even when he claims he doesn’t steal them, you would consider he must have borrowed these things and maybe his cartier black watches is replica one. Until finally you get to know that he is actually a man of means, but you still won’t believe it.

In a word, stereotypes sometimes falsify what we see, hear and feel.
