What makes a successful manager

It requires abilities of several different aspects to become a successful manager.

First of all, he should be able to communicate well with both his superiors and subordinates so that he can organize all these people to finish a task. Since sometimes workers are not willing to cooperate or don’t know the whole arrangement, effective communication initiated by the manager then can help to solve these problems.

Secondly, he should be able to organize his staffs in completing the company’s goals. Although most of time different work has already been assigned to relevant workers, there should be many situations where managers have to use their abilities to reallocate the tasks, which require a good sense of organization.

Besides, managers should also have their own prestige. This is to say their staffs would listen to what they say; obeying the rules and expectation they have on them. Of course, there are many other factors for successful managers, including how they control their appearance. Basically, people work in the office dress themselves more or less in the same way. However, a manager should have some differences while deciding what wear. For example, his formal clothes and ties should have a higher level and better taste than ordinary ones. For managers in big companies who would often have negotiations with other companies, it’s better for them to wear some famous watches such as Cartier watches, TAG Heuer watches, and IWC Watches etc. so that people can sense the identity or status, which also facilitate an agreement.

In a word, a successful manager should pay attention to both his invisible abilities and visible appearance.
