A replica watch for real confidence

My little son Tom is a primary school student. Every day after school he would come back with a frustrated expression on his face. I have asked him many times why he was not happy. However, he never told me the reason. Until one day I came across him with his fellow students on his way home. The moment I saw Tom, I waved my hands and said hello to him. To my surprise, he was not feeling any joy. Instead, he pretended not having noticed me and kept walking.
Then something out of my expectation happened. The three boys were walking besides Tom and began to tease him and make fun of him, jeering to his mother, who was then in draggly clothes, was not a rich dad and could not provide Tom with things they could get from their parents. I was rather annoyed by such words and warned them not to do that again. While, I have to admit maybe the financial condition in my family is not as good as Tom’s classmates’, but this should not be laughed at at all. Who inoculate such ideas into these young pupils? It’s really disappointing to find out money worship should exist in small children.
Despite my dissatisfaction with Tom’s classmates, I have to find a solution to stop his being making fun of by them. The other day, I took him to a watch shop and bought him a replica Rolex. Strangely enough, all of his classmates thought it was a real one and then guess his family must have been concealing its treasure. While, only Tom knew it was a replica Rolex on his wrist. Whatever, at least he get respect from then on.
